classes in the 9:45 a.m. Sunday School program. There are classes
that meet many needs. Adults may choose from several different
Sunday school classes. Each class caters to a different age group or
different area of interest. View our
Sunday School brochure for detailed class descriptions.
Friday Flicks The

at 7:30 p.m. A $.50 donation is suggested for soft drinks and
popcorn.
Helping Each Other (HEO)
HEO began in 1979 under the auspices of Trinity's United Methodist
Women. It was organized to "maintain a network of lay persons
to assist the pastors and congregation, through providing a
supportive, caring ministry to members of Trinity United Methodist
church and, when possible, to our community." With that vision, HEO
was born. Since that time, HEO has been a vital part of ministry at
Trinity. HEO utilizes lay volunteers in a ministry of care and
encouragement to those who are recuperating, who are going through
challenging times of transition, who are homebound, or who have
other special needs that HEO can fill. Rita May is Trinity's HEO
Coordinator and she stands ready to pull together resources when
help is needed. Click on the HEO logo to learn more...
Prayer Partners Two by Two is a prayer partner program at
Trinity that includes children grades 2-5 and adults. It will be
starting up again this spring under the direction of Elizabeth and
Emily Hirst and Barbara Hynes.
Children are invited to become
partners in prayer with adults in our congregation for a two-year
period. For the first year, the adult will know the identity of the
child for whom he/she is praying, but the student will not. Each
will be asked to pray daily for their partner. Adults also are
encouraged to remember the student on birthdays and other special
times with a card or a note from their secret "partner."
A gathering will be held next
spring to reveal the partners to each other. They will then continue
as partners for an additional year during which time we encourage
them to develop their friendship and care for each other.
Children and adults turning in
registration sheets will be paired two by two. Children will
receive a note when they have been paired with an adult partner.
Adults will receive information about their special student and a
photo.
Prayer Chain

The
Prayers and Squares Quilt Ministry The Prayers and Squares Prayer Quilt Ministry combines
the gift of prayer with the gift of quilt making. A group of
volunteers meet on the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30
in Room 308 to make a variety of quilts. These quilts are then
available for those who are in a spiritual or physical crisis,
and in need of lots of prayer. Periodically, prayer quilts will be
available for prayer during worship services and other events at the
church. The prayer quilt is made with tassels that are to be tied
after a prayer is said for the recipient. Once the quilt is full of
prayers, the quilt is then given to the recipient, so that they can
be covered in prayer during their crisis.
