Serving God Through – Community
During the February 2011 Health Wellness Team meeting the desire was expressed to take Serving God even further than “community” by planning an out of country medical mission trip in the future.
One week later at Trinity’s Mission Dinner during a Skype conversation with Lloyd Monroe at Solomon’s Porch in Guatemala, we asked how Trinity could help with the mission work there. Specifically … Lloyd held three fingers up in the air and answered – send … a team to build houses … a team to do VBS … AND … a medical mission team!
When God speaks, if our hearts and minds are open to His voice – we will hear Him. There are no coincidences. And, thus the Medical Missions team was formed.
The first Trinity Medical Mission team made a trip to Porch de Solomon in October 2011 along with others Trinity members who worked on the construction of a new house. Plans for a second trip in October 2012 are currently in the works.
