Each of these individuals paid for their own expenses. Through your generosity
in giving, they were able to build a home, and take medical and dental supplies,
medications, a prayer quilt and prayer shawls.

The team asked for your prayers during the two weeks they prepared to leave and
while they were in Panajachel, Guatemala on their mission. Below are some of the
requests and concerns they asked you to particularly pray for.

• My prayer is for safe travel for all of us and that we all stay
healthy during our trip.
• I would like prayers for God to guide my heart and my
hands as we provide health care for these people in a
situation that is very much outside of my comfort zone.
• I pray that through our words and actions to the people of
Guatemala they can see what God’s love is all about.
• I would like prayers to give me guidance in my everyday
chores and activities in this country.
• I ask for prayers for a safe and spirit fi lled trip for the team and prayer for my
husband, Alan, and my mother, Margaret, during the time that I am away.
• A prayer concern for me is that new things scare me and I want to really be helpful.
• Pray for courage and wisdom to tackle the basic dental needs of these
disadvantaged people.
• Pray that we may open our hearts to those whose lives we touch and be authentic in
our care.
• Pray for all those who are making our time in Guatemala possible by caring for our
loved ones, our pets, and covering for us at work.
• Pray that the help we off er may be accepted in the spirit in which it is being off ered
and that those who are hesitant will be encouraged by the way we serve.
• Prayers for a successful mission with a positive impact on the lives of both the team
and those we serve.
• Pray for safe travels, healthy bodies and inspired souls.
• Pray for us to be useful to Porch do Salomon and Lloyd and Melanie in their venture
to build homes and minister to people in need.
