We love to receive new members into our growing family at Trinity!
We consider it our honor and duty to faithfully minister to all our members in all aspects of life. And it is such a blessing to welcome their gifts and graces to help our mission to serve the city and world.
Our new members come from a myriad of backgrounds, life-stages, and circumstances. To best accommodate this wide variety, we offer new member classes every other month. We ask potential members to attend two classes to prepare them for membership into the United Methodist church and into the particular family of Trinity. The classes introduce the following:
Class 1: The fundamentals of United Methodism; history, beliefs, and qualities of our people.
Class 2: The ministry of Trinity United Methodist; how to connect and serve.
The classes are offered every other month, typically on the second and third Sundays. The classes take place in our parlor during the Sunday School Hour of 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. New members are received into the congregation during a short ceremony at the 11:00 a.m. service on the weekend of the second class.
