Welcome Message from Reverend Curry

Dear Friends,
TUMCT Pastor Wayne
Welcome to our website! We are so glad that you have visited us and hope that you will do so again. If you are seeking a church home, or are interested in learning more about the life of our congregation, I hope this website will be helpful to orient you a bit to our life together. However, the only way to really learn about it is to “dip in” and experience it for yourself.

Trinity United Methodist Church is a congregation whose mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. That is seen in various ways. Many of our folks have been in this church all their lives. This congregation has formed them in their faith and journey as disciples for many years, but they are still on that journey as they discover new areas in which God is leading them.

Others of us may have been disciples of Jesus for a good while, but have been part of other United Methodist congregations in other places, or congregations of other denominations. These folks are newer to our community of faith and are discovering new areas of growth as Christian disciples as a part of this fellowship.

There are still others who have little or no Christian background in any church, and are new disciples of Jesus. They are seeking to grow in their newfound faith, and discover their place of ministry and service.

In addition to all these types of adults, we have children and youth of all ages, and we have a commitment to form them as Christian disciples and help them discover God’s call on their lives. I believe you will find our church to be a warm, friendly place where you can grow in your faith, discover more of God’s plan for your life, and build life-long relationships..

I invite you to worship with us at Trinity United Methodist Church at Park and Duval Streets in the heart of downtown Tallahassee, just blocks from the State Capital and the Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee Community College campuses. We are 186 years young and are still going strong, excited about the future and the many ways we can serve and encourage our community with the good news of God’s love.

I hope to see you in Sunday morning worship at 8:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. for one of our traditional services in the sanctuary or at 9:45 a.m. for our contemporary service in Moor Hall, our fellowship center.

Blessings Unlimited,
E. Wayne Curry
