Steel Band

In September of 2010, the newest music ensemble at Trinity was organized. Six adults began practicing in the back of Moor Hall on our new steel band instruments, which are also called pans. A children’s steel band ensemble was also organized as part of the NETkids program on Wednesday afternoons. The adults meet 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays. This group presents special music about every other month at worship services.

We have also begun preparing music for outdoors performances. If enough adults and youth (as young as 5th grade) are interested, a new group can be formed, possibly an intergenerational ensemble. The ability to read music is required. Please contact Trinity’s Music Director, for additional information.
