Preschool Enrollment for 2021-2022

The preschool will begin enrolling students for the 2021-2022 school year beginning February 1st. Please feel free to share these details with family, friends, and neighbors. Interested families should call Stacey Duggar, preschool director, for more information. Applications are now available, and tours will be scheduled on a case by case basis. The direct line to the preschool is 850-224-8992 (extension 3 for Stacey).

Enrollment dates for the 2021-2022 school year are as follows:
–       Currently enrolled children may enroll February 1-3, 2021
–       Church members may enroll February 4, 2021
–       Families who previously enrolled, but delayed due to COVID February 5, 2021
–       Open enrollment begins February 8, 2021

Description: What does current science say about climate change and its effects? What are Florida’s environmental regulations? How can citizens conserve, protect and recycle most effectively? How does the Tallahassee Green Faith Alliance  promote and assist in the practice of sustainability? What are the spiritual relationships and responsibilities we share to care for the earth and each other? Experts on climate change and the care for our natural world will explore their responses to these questions and others relating to one of the most pressing issues confronting us as stewards of God’s earthly kingdom.

Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science: A Robert Lawton
Distinguished Professor. Dr. Chanton will address the current
science of Climate changes and it’s effects.

Cara Fleischer: Founder of Tallahassee Green Faith Alliance, a consortium of
interfaith communities, in Tallahassee and Florida. The Tallahassee Green Faith
Alliance members support one another on the path to sustainability
A member of Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Fleischer will
address the work of the Alliance as well as speak of her experience
while attending the Global Climate conference in Madrid, Spain.

Creation Care, Climate Justice

Pam McVety: Biologist, writer and former Deputy Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection. She has been the Stewardship of Creation Enabler for the Florida Presbytery for over twenty years working with panhandle churches on the denomination’s caring for creation ministry. She chaired the Presbyterian denomination’s rewrite of its energy policy, drafted and successfully lobbied a carbon neutral resolution through its General Assembly calling on all Presbyterians and institutions to go carbon neutral. She is a founding member of Fossil Free PCUSA asking the denomination to divest its fossil fuel holdings and a 2018 recipient of the Presbyterian Earthcare William Gibson Ecojustice Award in recognition of a lifetime of work promoting eco justice in the Presbyterian denomination.

Ms. McVety will describe how the climate crisis is impacting Floridians, and Florida’s legislative and Gubernatorial response to it.

graduate of the University of Pittsburg. Mr. Raether will discuss
ways that citizens can conserve, protect and recycle.

Writer, naturalist, activist in Tallahassee: President of
St. Vincent’s Island Foundation. Ms. Cerulean will review her latest
book, I Have Been Assigned a Single Bird, and the way it relates
to the spiritual relationships and responsibilities we share to care
for the earth and each other. Please try to read the book before
this session.
