Advent Group Studies

Advent Group Studies

We will have three options for Advent group studies this year! Studies start the week of November 27 and run for four weeks.

All the Good

Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

Room 305

Rev. Matthew Williams will lead a study on “All The Good: A Wesleyan Way of Christmas.”

Each chapter guides participants through one of the four weeks of Advent by reflecting on biblical passages in light of an aspect of Wesleyan means of grace – practices of piety and mercy- highlighted by illustrations and stories. This study will feature a weekly video with a diverse group of speakers with different backgrounds and perspectives. No registration is necessary, but be sure to purchase the book here before the study begins.

Incarnation

Sundays at 9:45 a.m.

Room 305

Agape Sunday School group will study “Incarnation” by Adam Hamilton.

In Incarnation: Rediscovering the Significance of Christmas, best-selling author Adam Hamilton examines the names of Christ used by the gospel writers, exploring the historical and personal significance of his birth. (Copies of this study will be available for all participants)

Prepare the Way for the Lord

Sundays at 9:45 a.m.

Room 302

Aldersgate Sunday School group will study “Prepare the Way for the Lord” by Adam Hamilton.

In “Prepare the Way for the Lord,” Adam Hamilton helps readers discover how the life of John the Baptist prepares us for the arrival of Jesus during Advent. (Copies of this study will be available for all participants)
