Welcome to the youth page! Below you will find all the information you need for upcoming and ongoing activities with our group. We have a variety of ways for students of all ages to be involved and we would love to have you join us. Follow us on Instagram.
Weekly Events
UMYF
TUMCT’s United Methodist Youth Fellowship is on Sunday nights from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. We meet in the underground for games, worship, lessons, and a variety of other activities. Dinner is served at all UMYF meetings for $5 per student. (First time guests eat for free!) All middle and high school students are invited and friends are always welcome.
Youth Sunday School
All youth are invited to join us on Sunday mornings at 11am for Sunday School! During this time, we meet in the Underground to learn about the Bible and how to approach scripture. We also learn about TUMCT’s Acolytes and how to participate in worship on Sunday mornings.
Youth Bible Study
During the school year, following an all-church dinner from 5:30-6:30pm, we have our Youth Bible Study from 6:30-7:30 pm on Wednesday during Lay Acadamy. This group is a time for students to meet and discuss the topics that interest them. Youth Music Team
All youth are invited to join our Youth Music Team, which runs during the school year. The youth praise band rehearses on Sunday nights from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and there is a more formal youth choir practice from 5:00-6:00pm. Youth praise team leads worship during the Sunday night youth program, UMYF. The youth praise team and the youth choir also lead worship in some special events such as VBS and Youth/Children’s Sabbath, as well as some select Sunday mornings at the 11:00 a.m. services.
Confirmation Class
Confirmation is open to 6th graders and any other youth who would like to get confirmed. An interest meeting for parents will be held in the fall to discuss the class requirements, schedule, and curriculum and to answer questions. The class typically meets weekly during the school year and attends a Confirmation Retreat at Warren Willis in the spring. Summer Camp at Warren Willis
Every summer, rising 4th – 12th grade students are invited to attend camp at Warren Willis United Methodist camp and Conference Center in Leesburg, FL with us. Scholarships are available. If you are interested in attending with our church, please contact our Director of Youth Ministries – contact information at bottom of page.
Middle and High School Summer Mission Trip
We still have a few spots available for our summer mission trip ,July 13th – 18th, in Memphis, TN with Praying Pelican. If you would like to register or receive more information, please email our Director of Youth Ministries – contact information at bottom of page.
Youth Week
Youth Week is one of the most exciting events we have at TUMCT. This open to all youth and when our rising 6th graders are invited to join UMYF. Being a member of the church and taking Confirmation Class are not required. Friends and new youth are always welcome to join us throughout the week.
