Our Medical Missions team makes several trips to Guatemala each year – once a month during the winter and as needed in the summer. All of our trips are coordinated through Porch de Salomon who is trying to fund a 52-week ministry that needs all the help it can get. Look at the video below and please consider giving them your support.
Our Mission Partner, Porch de Salomon
“Porch de Salomon is a response to God calling several families and their friends into lives of love and service in Panajachel, Guatemala … they host between 15 and 20 short-term mission teams a year, aiming to bring the passion of the first century church to those who live in a 21st century world.”
“Solomon’s Porch was an ancient, open place where people seeking transformation gathered to explore Jesus of Nazareth’s radical message of love and redemption.” You can get more information about them from their website at www.porchdesalomon.org.

Living Conditions in Guatemala
The people in Guatemala live in very primitive conditions: mud/cornstalk houses, no plumbing or clean water, and no electricity. Malnutrition and dysentery are common.
While we are there, we get to experience first-hand their living conditions and gain a new appreciation of what we take for granted every day. However, we have the luxury of returning to Panajachel each night to a great meal, a hot shower (most of the time), a comfortable bed, and a roof over our heads; something most of the Guatemalan people have never experienced.
Donations Needed
Please do what you can to help and support them with your prayers, your money, and your donations of vitamins, glasses, and the other over-the-counter medicines they have requested. As Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
We hope to carry with us the supplies we need to provide medical care to the people, clothing and furnishings (sheets, blankets, towels) for the family whose house we are building, and things to entertain the kids.
