Welcome from the Rev. Dr. Wayne D. Wiatt

Welcome to our Trinity Website!

Who We Are:

As Trinity’s senior pastor, I welcome you to explore all that our church has to offer someone new to our community and congregation. We seek to embrace you to the church and community so that you will feel “at home!” We welcome you in our midst and seek to meet all of your needs, spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

Why We Are Here:

Our purpose and mission at Trinity United Methodist Church is to become Faithful Disciples of Jesus Christ who are always seeking to worship, grow, and serve! It’s who we are; it’s what we’re about. Our almost 200 year old history is represented by thousands of faithful servants who have sought to live out their lives following the example of Jesus Christ. My hope is that this website will help introduce you to the many ways you can join this church family and find a meaningful community of faith through children, youth, young adult, adult, and older adult ministries. We are an intergenerational church that is intentional about being inclusive and welcoming to everyone who is seeking to discover, deepen, and live out their Christian faith in meaningful ways.

What We Do:

Our dynamic Christian Education Program has classes and groups for every age ranging from birth to 99, and houses one of the most highly REX_3003rated preschools in the city! Our expansive music ministry encompasses every genre of music from classical to contemporary to bluegrass to reggae to rock! Each worship service, from contemporary to traditional, provides a way for everyone to find a meaningful worship experience. You can join us at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., or 11 a.m. with a special youth worship service on Sunday evenings as part of their regular gathering from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We also broadcast our 11 o’clock traditional service through radio station 100.7 – click here to listen on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m.

Maybe you are looking for a group in which you can serve others through local and foreign mission; maybe you are seeking a small group study to explore the Bible or pressing issues related to our community and the world around us. Trinity United Methodist has always been a Guatemala 3congregation that challenges its members to live out their faith with intentionality and purpose. Whether it’s volunteering in a local school or community center, feeding and caring for the homeless in our neighborhood twice a week, intentionally calling our community to health and wholeness through exercise and personal study, or providing space for continuing education and recovery ministries for those with addictions, Trinity’s doors are always opening wide to embrace our neighborhood, community, and world. Within this website, you can discover the many ways we are seeking to be intentional about being the church in ministry to the world.

We are a Church with a heart for the city, and we invite you to join us on Sundays and throughout the week to find a meaningful place where you can worship, grow, and serve!

I love being the pastor of this great congregation!
